Status: Exempt
Department: OperationsSUMMARY:As a valuable member of the Operations Team, the Operations Analyst will collect, analyze, prepare, and validate key financial and trend data to achieve target returns and meet customer commitments. This position will work with Operations, Planning, Procurement, Logistics, Sales and Accounting daily to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES:Review accuracy and performance of current pricing models. Analyze the yield, costs, and least cost formulations to models. Report and execute on changes or enhancements that need to be developed in the pricing process and Canopy.Analyze and report weekly plant performance metrics.Analyze current and future customer demand to determine raw material levels and finished goods inventory levels to plan production schedule.Coordinate weekly/monthly/yearly price changes to customers as well as track any rebate or accrual type programs.Facilitate yield testing and analysis.Perform product line analysis for cook portion of the business.Perform ROI calculations, pricing impact, and financial impact scenarios on equipment, production process, and raw material changes.Assist in setting master production planning, material requirements planning and production scheduling metrics targets.Assist Procurement in market analysis to determine market direction, factors that drive the market and product positions.Assist Plant Management in directing and managing plant operations for production priorities.Assist departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.Assist customer account managers and members of key account management with the creation and presentation of Quarterly/Annual business reviews.Work with sales on contract volumes, market analysis as well as customer performance.Develop and facilitate customer production and pricing reports.Assist Research & Development in market analysis to evaluate raw material utilization and selection.Work with sales and pricing strategy to evaluate customer menu pricing and competitive pricing analytics.Work with procurement to determine future needs and correct times of the year to purchase.Maintain high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards.Compliance of Company Policy and ProceduresCompliance with USDA Regulations and SpecificationsMaintain a safe and sanitary work area in compliance with GMP and safety policies.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBS; or equivalent combination of education and experienceOTHER DUTIES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESDemonstrate leadership skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrongly self-motivated / Detail OrientedCompetency in statistical analysis and Microsoft ExcelPHYSICAL DEMANDS:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.Function/ Amount of time:Stand: Under 1/3Walk: Under 1/3Sit: Under 1/3Use hands to finger, handle or feel: Under 1/3Reach with hands and arms: NoneClimb or balance: NoneStoop, kneel, crouch or crawl: NoneThis job requires that weight be lifted, or force be exerted as reflected below.Function/ Amount of time:Up to 10 pounds: Under 1/3Up to 25 pounds: Under 1/3Up to 50 pounds: NoneUp to 100 pounds: NoneMore than 100 pounds: NoneWORK ENVIRONMENT:Cold Temperature:
