Work you'll do

As a Senior Analyst on the Professional & Regulatory Matters (PRM) team, you'll use your analytical, research, and investigative skills to accomplish the following:

• Assist with migrating the firm's internal independence documentation, such as the firm's independence policies, and guides into a new global platform;
• Assist in automating certain independence procedures performed by engagement teams by adding them into a professional services engagement system workflow reducing the need for certain Excel and Word-based independence guides and forms;
• Assist in updating a large inventory of independence documents, including guides, forms and policies based on changes to standards and rules set by various standard setting bodies and regulators;
• Assist in drafting internal independence policy documents and provide feedback on such drafts to management;
• Establish, develop and maintain working relationships with Independence leadership and team members as well as other Deloitte professionals, locally and globally;
• Coordinate multiple projects of varying complexity, simultaneously and communicate both orally and in writing, with Independence & Conflicts Network (ICN) and other Deloitte professionals;
• Work both independently and in a team environment, both virtually and/or in person.
  In addition, your skills may be leveraged to assist the PRM team:
  
  • Analyze and research regulations and standards;
  • Coordinate the group's interactions and responses to internal and external reviews and/or inspections e.g., PCAOB inspections, peer reviews, internal audits;
  • Develop and/or review firm trainings, presentations, and other learning materials.

    The Independence & Conflicts Network (ICN) performs a critical consultative, quality-assurance and risk-management function for the Deloitte US Firms, helping the organization remain unbiased and free from conflicts-of-interest, in fact and appearance, when providing service to attest/audit clients. Independence requirements are defined by specific sets of policies, external rules and regulations, so maintaining both the independence of the Deloitte US Firms and personal independence is essential to the business and reputation of Deloitte.
    
    Qualifications
    
    Required:
    
    • Bachelors' degree (preferably accounting, business or finance)
    • 3+ years of related experience
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Outstanding attention to detail along with strong technical, organizational, and analytical skills
    • Strong project management skills
      Preferred:
      
      • Understanding of Independence requirements and rules established by the SEC, AICPA, PCAOB, IESBA for professional auditing firms
      • S. Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or other similar professional certification
      • Experience with accounting and/or Independence pronouncements, standards, and rules
      • Policy writing and editing experience in either Accounting or Independence
      • Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP standards
      • Public accounting or consulting experience
        The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $ 59035 to $78710.
        
        You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
