You will be the Mechanical Assembly Inspector for the Quality Assurance team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of mechanical components and assemblies throughout the product lifecycle. What You Will Be Doing As the Mechanical Assembly Inspector you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of mechanical assemblies and ensuring they meet all design and safety standards. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: -Perform a variety of inspection operations of mechanical parts and installations fabricated and/or assembled such as; completed systems, assemblies, tools, jigs, fixtures, prototypes, training devices and detail parts on manufacturing prototype, production development and/or production programs. -Perform inspections utilizing a variety of techniques, inspection equipment and instruments to include visual, layout methods and various conventional types of measurement devices. Basic Qualifications High school degree or equivalent Working knowledge of machine parts, tooling section or mechanical assembly and inspection Must be able to: -Read and interpret Engineering drawings -Use precision measurement equipment -Use computer programs such as Word, Excel, etc. Desired skills Welding Experience Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work on a team Lockheed Martin is an equal opportunity employer. Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
