Job Details Description Essential Functions of the Role (3 - 5 Primary Areas): This list of functions is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other areas of responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. Operationso Ensure all KPI's are met including: in-stock % vendor performance, on-time % for store deliveries, HACCP audits, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.o Responsible for a $4.2 million fleet and equipmento Maintaining the order flow of all products and managing the customer delivery cold chaino Maintaining and caring for a multi-temperature warehousing and fleet operations.o Through hands on involvement will develop and progressively improve the warehousing processes to support the development and delivery of the Operational Strategy. Including plans for the continued growth of automation cells and equipment, operational performance, ensuring quality products, and on time delivery to both external and internal customers. Drives technology integration within the distribution network.o Work with client Engineering team to introduce new technology or improve current processes that meet quality and cost effectiveness standardso Work directly with Human Resources and other departments to develop and retain associates through training and leadership programs. Financial Performanceo Attain budgeted objectives and KPIs.o Effectively develop, plan, and implement an annual budget for your market that meets or exceeds desired results with focus on cost and labor dollars.o Identifies and prioritizes capital and operating expenditures. Deploys plans to maximize the effectiveness and profitability of capital investments. Client Relationshipso Interface, problem-solve, and communicate with the customer in your markets on an as-needed basis to include client logistic staff, division, and store management, suppliers, and vendor partners.o Ability to anticipate market and client opportunities and responding appropriately.o Identify, define, and execute operational changes partnership with customer team to drive mutually beneficial supply chain improvements.o Recommend design solutions and changes.o Establish and maintain strong customer relationships and act as the interface between the customer and EA Sween teams. Leadershipo Assess labor requirements and develop plans for achievement with department Managers and Human Resourceso Have the ability to provide hands-on technical leadership to drive the execution of that vision to delivery, working with teams that design, build, and operate some of the highest-scale services in operations and facilities.o Lead and review your team's work across all phases (plan, analyze, design, build and test)o Get involved in long-term business planning at the managerial and senior leadership levelo Demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to define a clear vision and motivate others toachieve required goals.o Provide regular and continual feedback and support.o Drive cross-functional projects to support new strategic initiatives and business opportunities for the organization.o Drive an aligned and focused team culture through clear performance targets and regular team meetings focusing on culture, stakeholder alignment, communication and conflict resolution.o Manage and report on the performance of a substantial, diverse team; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project/account team members and hold them accountable for achieving these; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of team/personal objectives.o Use the organization's formal development framework to identify the team's individual development needs. Plan and implement actions, including continuing professional development specified by professional or regulatory institutions, to build their professional capabilities.o Provide informal training or coaching to others throughout the organization in own area of expertise to enable others to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.o Engage the team in all attributes of EA Sween Spirit for overall team success. Continuous Improvemento Improve the business processes for each department through analysis and collaborationo Lead process improvement opportunities utilizing the continuous improvement systemso Drive Customer and Employee Success by seeking opportunities for improvement.o Champion Change throughout the organizationo Use the Spirit of EA Sween to guide decisions. Food Safety and Qualityo Ensure Best Practices are used in daily operations by (including but not limited to) maintain HACCP, FESMA, and Food Quality Program (ABI) qualifications and ensuring client audit compliance. Safetyo Develop a culture centered on the safety of all employees by leading and executing the E.A. Sween Safety Program.o Enforce safety policies and procedures (both in-house and regulatory) to decrease the potential for employee injuries on the job. Acts as a point of contact for after-hours employee and facility security.o Provides oversight of DOT compliance and fleet management. Required Qualifications: Strong business acumen for effectively managing operations and distribution 10+ years of experience in logistics management and five years' experience in managing warehouse and fleet operations - inclusive of staff, drivers and equipment 5+ years of People Management and Leadership experience 2+ years of P&L ownership experience Proven track record of operational process improvements in multiple facets of business. Many years of interacting regularly and directly with senior executives Experience with developing budgets and writing business plans. A strong understanding of OSHA, USDOT, HAACP regulations and how it affects the operations in food-grade multi-temp distribution locations and networks. Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office - specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal customer service skills Ability to identify and manage projects from concept to implementation and successfully drive project results. Ability to effectively and professionally convey information to others, be an active listener and develop healthy working relationships with others. Detailed-oriented and strong organizational skills Good judgement, decision making skills and ability to keep information confidential Must be able to work and communicate well with a variety of people at all levels within the company, as well as outside of the company. Preferred Qualification (if Applicable): 4-year college degree preferred. Lean Six Sigma BeltCertified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) An understanding of automated equipment and assembly lines, being able to recognize and improve poor perfor mance. Bi-lingual with the prominent language for the region is a plus (Spanish, Hmong, etc.) Experience in managing a delivery fleet preferred. ERP or Inventory Management Systems Electronic Log Books and On Board computer systems Physical Demands and Work Environment: Generally, an office/desk environment; using a computer and phone Some exposure to work in the warehouse and outside environments, temperatures range from 35-85 degrees. Ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs. Ability to stand, bend, turn, twist, reach, pull and push. Must be able to work additional hours as needed, with includes some nights and weekends as our company operates 24/7. Must be able to work on multiple projects without constant direct supervision and be able to meet deadlines, confidential information and interruptions in the work process Must be able to work additional hours as needed.
