Job Description:
The Director of Information Technology PMO provides leadership,
vision, and direction for project, program and portfolio management
processes across the IT organization. This role works closely with
stakeholders across various key functions, including the Office of
Strategic Management, to define and implement technology required
to implement the company's strategic initiatives, and is
responsible for planning and implementing key applications. Working
with other key leaders in the IT organization, this position
influences technology selection and implementation across the
various platforms of the company.Roles & Responsibilities:* Manage,
mentor, and develop the project management team;* As needed, serve
as program manager for large scale, high-visibility projects,
including major strategic initiatives;* Lead and develop
comprehensive resource models and risk mitigation plans in
collaboration with the CIO, IT Leaders as well as business
leaders;* Provide frequent and transparent updates, manage sponsor
expectations, and keep all stakeholders informed of the progress of
all projects;* Establish and manage the intake and backlog of
proposals/requests to enable the efficient use of resources;* Build
and maintain relationships with the senior IT leadership and key
PMO stakeholders, and act as a trusted advisor;* Develop standards
and roadmap to transform the PMO organization to an effective
utilization of Agile and DevOps frameworks;* Ensure
interdependencies across programs/projects are identified
effectively and risks are managed preemptively;* Design and
implement performance targets for PMO department and individual
contributors;* Regularly review and evaluate opportunities to
improve company's project management best practices in order to
improve maturity levels;* Collaborates with the Office of Strategic
Management group in support of enterprise strategies and
initiatives;* Support, coach, and supervise a team of Program
Managers and Project Managers;* Provide support to project managers
to standardize the execution of projects, improving communication
and risk management;* Directs the selection, negotiation and
implementation for critical, enterprise-wide systems, including
Salesforce.com (CRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP),
E-Commerce, Retail POS, and others with key emphasis on seamless
integration across all platforms;* Establish best practices for
project, program and portfolio management to be leveraged by all IT
teams. Communicates and trains on standard procedures and
deliverables;* Coordinate and manage outside vendors, contract
negotiations, licensing, maintenance contracts and service level
agreements for programs under the department's direction.* Oversee
all project work streams, including all associated vendors,
business readiness, change management, operational support
planning, data migrations, and process engineering.Job
Requirements:Education:* Bachelor's or master's degree in computer
science, information systems, business administration or related
field, or equivalent work experience* PMP certification
preferredExperience:* Minimum 10 years of IT and business
experience* Minimum 7 years of leadership responsibilities*
Experience in multi-location hospitality and/or entertainment
industries is a plus* Proven accomplishments in large scale
implementations across various functions (Finance, Retail, CRM)*
Effective understanding of Agile and DevOps frameworks and their
impact to PMO operations and capabilities* Experience implementing
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions as well as CRM in
multi-location organizations* Proved track record of driving change
in large scale implementations* Experience in high volume/high
customer contact industries?Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills
& Abilities:* Demonstrated ability to build and develop teams*
Excellent verbal and written communication skills* The ability to
influence others and resolve conflict* Experience with Agile and
DevOps development methodologies* Strong understanding of financial
processes on high volume transaction driven systems and processes*
Ability to multi-task in complex situations with tight deadlines*
Proven track record in the development of high performing PMO
organizations in companies undergoing significant transformation*
Ability to coach associates in complex, multi-unit implementation
initiatives* Proven experience in implementing effective project
management processes and frameworks utilizing innovative tools*
Effective understanding of integration strategies, including the
use of integration frameworks* Experience analyzing complex issues
and delivering appropriate solutions
