Overview:The Project Manager is responsible for managing the project management lifecycle for high-priority projects, which often require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration. This individual will partner with others across the enterprise to ensure consistent application of the GPPM (Global Project Portfolio Management) processes and procedures, and will contribute to EPMO initiatives.Responsibilities:JOB DUTIESServes as a project manager for high-priority projects, applying the enterprise GPPM (Global Project Portfolio Management) processes and proceduresIdentifies and assembles the appropriate blend of resources to meet project needs and requirementsFosters and champions an environment that promotes trust, self-development, continuous improvement, innovation and quality outcomesEnsures a consistent level of quality, accuracy, compliance to GPPM standards, state and federal regulations, and internal controlsLeads the development of project requirements and scope; establishes appropriate metrics for measuring successful delivery of the projectsEngages with project teams, business partners and stakeholders frequently on the status of key initiatives with respect to scope, schedule, cost, and resources; presents RAID logsCoaches and counsels members of cross-functional teams to accomplish project goals, meet deadlines, and resolve technical/operational issuesAdministers the project change process when needed, formulating contingency plans to address schedule revisions, risks, costs, and scopeSupports reporting needs of the PMOMaintains awareness of industry trends, practices, techniques and emerging technologies related to the project management disciplinePerform other duties as assignedConform with all company policies and proceduresQualifications:KnowledgeProven experience and knowledge of the discipline of project management including common principles, methodologies and tools used by practitionersProficient in process improvement and development practicesExperience with business case preparation, cost benefit analysis and project executionAdvanced knowledge and experience with PPM software tool; Planview experience preferredExperience using Agile/Scrum methodologies preferredSkillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to tailor the message based on the audienceInterpersonal skills necessary to work well with others and collaborate with other stakeholders in the organizationStrong problem solving, multi-tasking and decision making abilities; detail orientedProven ability and experience navigating competing prioritiesLeadership skills and ability to learn new skills quicklySkilled at producing polished reports using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and/or PPM softwareAbility to plan, execute and improve work processes to ensure achievement of business objectivesProactively achieves goals and objectives and applies critical thinking skills in day-to-day problems and solutionsAbility to demonstrate integrity while successfully managing work demands and pressure; continually pursues personal developmentEducationBachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent related work experience preferredExperience2-4 years experience in project management role working on large and/or complex projects requiredLicensesOther: Project Management Certification (PMP, PgMP, Agile, etc) preferredOther: Agile/Scrum Certifications (CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP, etc) preferredWorking ConditionsSubject to stressful situationsPossibility of working long hoursLimited travel may be required to support business needs
