America)Standard Weekly Hours:40Summary:The role of the Space
Utilization and Transition Manager is responsible for the
comprehensive planning, coordination and execution of all space
utilization and transition functions within the Cook Childrens
Health Care System (CCHCS). This role is overall responsible for
the management of a broad spectrum of transitions ranging from
small capital projects to new hospital activations. This role will
identify, categorize, analyze, allocate, and recommend changes to
space utilized by the Cook Childrens Health Care System. This role
will be required to interface with system leadership, a variety of
healthcare professionals and support staff, CCHCS leadership,
designers, engineers, IT, furniture and equipment suppliers, and
general contractors.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a work-related discipline/field from an
accredited college or university.
- Requires a minimum of 5 years specialized progressive
experience with space and/or transition planning.
- Demonstrated experience in transition planning and activation
of projects, with the ability to coordinate and facilitate in a
healthcare facility.
- Expertise and a depth of knowledge and experience in planning
requirements, documentation, operations, functional problems and
specialized administrative requirements of a health care delivery
system in order to develop, coordinate and implement a hospital
wide transition plan.
- Ability to read and create basic floor plans.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and
Access.
- Ability to create, manipulate, scale, measure, and print
drawings in Bluebeam, AutoCad or equivalent programs.
- Knowledge of database management systems and project management
software to input information or adjustments and generate a variety
of customized reports.
- Skill to organize work and the personal qualities of tenacity,
imagination, and perseverance supported by methodical and orderly
work habits.
- Skill to communicate diplomatically and to clearly express
ideas orally and in writing to other professionals (i.e. doctors,
nurses, engineers, etc.).
- Skill to plan, organize, execute and follow up on multiple
