The Registered Nurse Trauma Coordinator is responsible for the
coordination of the clinical, educational, planning, development,
implementation, and evaluation of all components of the Trauma
Services Program. The TNC acts as a resource person and consultant
to all patient care areas regarding nursing care, problem solving,
identification, and correction of problems as related to the trauma
patient. The TNC performs other duties as assigned.

Current Texas State RN licensure or
compact license is accepted.
Current Healthcare Provider BLS issued by American Heart
Must obtain TNCC, PALS issued by the American Heart Association (or
ENPC) and ACLS issued by the American Heart
Association within 6 months of hire.Trauma Outcomes Performance
Course (TOPIC) must be completed within 12 months of hire. Member
of the Texas
Trauma Coordinators Forum and Society of Trauma Nurses
Minimum of 3 years nursing experience preferable in an ER or
Critical Care setting
