Job Description:

Green Oaks North Pet Hospital is an AAHA-accredited practice and we are looking for an experienced technician to join our team. Someone who can appreciate our high standards of care yet can think outside of the box when it comes to those tricky cases for stressed pets.We are looking for these skills:Familiar with low-stress animal handling and restraintStrong client communication skillsCollect and prepare diagnostic samples, familiarity with reading cytologies a plusAbility to perform venipuncture from jugular, cephalic, and saphenous sitesAssist in maintaining practice equipmentBe able to accurately position for radiographsPerform in-hospital lab testing and prepare specimens for outside labsAbility to place and maintain IV cathetersAnesthesia monitoringFamiliar with dental radiographs and home dental care educationMaintain cleanliness of surgery suite, treatment area, and exams roomsSupport DEA compliance and inventory controlAny other duties as assignedMost schedule rotations consist of 4 day weeks and every other Saturday. Scrub reimbursement and continuing education allowance annually along with employee pet discount. Life, health, vision, and dental insurance along with 401k with employer matching.
