Perimeter Behavioral Hospital of Arlington is conveniently located in Arlington Texas and is a psychiatric children's hospital providing inpatient programs for children and adolescents. FT and PRN Day, Night and Weekend shifts are available.Our Mental Health Technician responsibilities include some of the following:---Care for our patients daily by obtaining vital signs, assessing their behavior, escorting them, and interacting with them continuously throughout the shift.---Conduct direct observation rounds during assigned shift and document patient's behavior.---Model and teach appropriate life skills to the patients.---Orient the patients to the unit and assist them with the discharge process too.---Assist them with verbal de-escalation when they are agitated.---Provide a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.Please apply if you have the following qualifications for a Mental Health Technician:Must have a High School Diploma with 1-year direct care experience with Mental Health patients or 1-year Corpsman experience.Or, have a bachelor's degree in Social Work or Psychology with some experience with mental health patientsOr be a Certified Nursing Assistant with previous experience working with mental health patients.Is Basic Life Support certified and able to get CPI certification during orientationMust be willing to work 7a to 7p or 7p to 7a and be willing to work rotating weekends.For PRN, must be willing to attend New Employee Orientation and work a minimum of 2 shifts per month.Our benefits include the following:---Service excellence and fulfilling work environment.---401(k) plan and company match---Health Insurance---Dental Insurance---Vision Insurance---Life Insurance---Paid Time Off---Supplemental Insurance Plans AvailableIf you would like to learn more visit our website at https://perimeterhealthcare.com/careers.Perimeter Healthcare is one of the leading mental and behavioral health care providers in the country.
