Note: This position is located in our Weatherford Clinic and is on
a PRN/Part-time basis. We are looking for someone who is willing
and able to supervise SLP-A and/or an SLP Intern.
This Speech Language Pathologist position works under the
supervision of the Discipline Lead, and in the absence of a lead,
the Clinical Director. The team member should be dedicated and
passionate about the therapy they provide, the families they serve,
and looking for an opportunity to grow.
Responsibilities
The Speech Language Pathologist provides speech therapy services to
patients and related activities in accordance with best
practice/evidence-based practice guidelines
The Speech Language Pathologist completes evaluations and
reassessments in accordance with clinic guidelines in a timely
manner
Develops an individualized plan of care based upon
evaluation/reassessment findings according to company and best
practice guidelines
Performs patient care and related activities within the scope of
their training and responsibilities, demonstrating basic clinical
competencies
The Speech Language Pathologist communicates effectively with
patient/family/therapists/physicians/administrative staff and other
stakeholders to promote quality services
Provides instruction/education to families/caregivers
Assesses patient and family needs regarding their level of
understanding, ability to assimilate information and the most
desirable method of speech therapy
The Speech Language Pathologist provides accurate and thorough
information consistently to families concerning their participation
in the patient's continuity of care
The Speech Language Pathologist documents patient information in
Electronic Medical Record according to office policies
The Speech Language Pathologist performs other essential functions
as needed
Attends health, safety and training in-services and other
obligatory activities
The Speech Language Pathologist maintains a current awareness and
participates in office quality activities
Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS:
The Speech Language Pathologist will write thorough and defensible
evaluations and SOAP/daily notes in a timely manner
The Speech Language Pathologist will engage in evidence based
practice
Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Current Texas state license to practice Speech Therapy
Two years pediatric clinical experience preferred, although a
strong new grad will be considered.
The Speech Language Pathologist must be articulate, courteous, and
supportive in dealing with clinical and administrative colleagues,
patients and parents with ability to honor confidentiality
The Speech Language Pathologist must demonstrate excellent verbal
and written communication skills
Utilize basic office equipment such as fax, copier and PC
