Job SummaryAveanna Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate School Nurse to provide high-quality care to a medically fragile patient in the school setting. As a School Nurse, you will be responsible for implementing the physician's prescribed plan of care, conducting patient assessments, and coordinating care with the healthcare team.About the RoleThis is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, with a location in Arlington ISD. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric nursing and experience working with medically fragile patients. You will be responsible for administering prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies, as well as providing health education and training to family members.Responsibilities

• Implement the physician's prescribed plan of care
• Conduct patient assessments and coordinate care with the healthcare team
• Administer prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies
• Provide health education and training to family members
• Assist patients with travel to and from schoolRequirements
  • Active, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification
  • TB skin test (current within last 12 months)
  • 6 months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred
