About The Position We are actively seeking a Pediatric Critical Care Nurse Practitioner for a 12-week locum tenens role in Texas starting in early September covering 13-hour shifts, including days, nights, and weekends. This position involves delivering specialized care in a Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit setting supporting post-operative care for pediatric cardiology patients. Job Details - Location: Texas - Start Date: Sep 8, 2025 - LOA: 12 weeks - Provider Type Needed: Pediatric Critical Care Nurse Practitioner - Schedule: 13-hour shifts, including days, nights, and weekends; flexibility required Responsibilities and Duties - Provide comprehensive medical care in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) - Manage complex cardiac cases in a post-operative setting - Perform critical procedures such as arterial and central venous catheter placements, chest tube placement, endotracheal intubation, lumbar puncture, and needle thoracentesis - Monitor patient progress and respond to medical emergencies - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of care - Document all patient interactions and treatments in the Epic EMR system Additional Information - Required Board Certifications: Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Critical Care Medicine - Must be licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Texas Apply now to learn more!
