75230! Job Title: Rapid Response RN Profession: Registered Nurse
Specialty: Rapid Response Duration: 6 Weeks Shift: Night Shift
Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of Pediatric
CICU/CVICU experience as a staff nurse; 2 years minimum PICU
experience as a staff nurse License: Active Registered Nurse
License Certifications: Required PALS, BLS Must-Have: 1 year of
Pediatric CICU/CVICU experience as a staff nurse 3-4 contracts in a
dedicated pediatric CICU 2 years minimum PICU experience as a staff
nurse Experience with caring for patients with congenital heart
disease and postoperative management of CHD patients Experience
with management of arterial lines, central lines, and transthoracic
lines Description: The team cares for ICU and step-down level
patients for continuity. Day Shift has 2 charges for each unit, 1
Patient Care Technician, and RNs based on census and acuity needs.
Night Shift has 2 charges for each unit, 1 Patient Care Technician,
and RNs based on census and acuity needs. Patient ratios are 1:2,
1:1, and at times 1:3. Typical equipment includes IV pumps, beds,
radiant warmers, and various monitoring machines. The Electronic
Medical Record system used is Meditech. Typical procedures
performed on the unit include central line and arterial line
placement, conscious sedation, intubation/extubation, and
postoperative recovery of general and cardiac procedures. Other
procedures include sternal closures, codes, ECMO cannulation and
decannulation, and CRRT. Candidates should possess compassion,
empathy, and be a hardworking team player. Meticulousness,

role. Scheduling includes rotating weekends, with no on-call
