Job Summary and Qualifications The Registered Respiratory Therapist delivers professional nursing care to all patients in NICU. Performs assessment and acuity assignment; follows standard of care utilizing Nursing Process in delivery of care; maintains accountability for professional decisions and actions. Daily assignment of an RN may include supervision of other nursing personnel and/or students. Function as a preceptor and ability to function as a charge nurse. The employee performs all services as they may relate to patient care/treatment with consideration for age/condition of patient. What qualifications you will need: Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date State Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT / RCP) Associate Degree Medical City Arlington is a 435 bed full-service hospital located in south Arlington.
