Market is Hudson's newest food and beverage store front at
Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. We are looking to bring an
experienced Sous Chef to our team.Responsibilities for Plum Market
Sous Chef include:--- Manage all activities in the kitchen,
including food preparation and production, and management and
training of kitchen staff--- Ensure efficient, cost-effective
operation and profitability of food production--- Supervise and
inspect all preparation and cooking equipment on a regular basis to
ensure that they are kept clean, sanitary, and in perfect operating
order--- Ensure that food products, presentation, and plating are
of the highest quality, and are prepared to serve in a timely
manner--- Assume the role as Executive Chef in his or her
absence--- Assure adherence to all standards of food quality,
preparation, recipes, and presentation in conjunction with the
specifications--- Monitor holding and storage operations, stocking
and food rotation, and guarantee food service sanitation standards
are met--- Assure kitchen personnel is trained in best cleanliness
and sanitation practices--- Establish the working schedule and
organize the work in the kitchen so that everything works like a
well-oiled machine--- Produce high quality food adhering to the
strict recipes standards established by Plum Market--- Train the
new kitchen staff in order to provide the best results in minimum
time and using the maximum available resources--- Maintain order
and discipline in the kitchen during working hours--- Ensuring
kitchen staff adhere to set Plum Market standards, procedures,
department rules and sanitation requirements--- Managing the
kitchen inventory and ensuring supplies are fresh and of high
quality--- Ability to bend and stoop to grasp objects, climb
ladders, lift loads, up to 50 lbs unassisted, push and pull carts
weighing up to 100 lbs unassistedThe qualified Sous Chef candidate
must possess the following:--- Ability to bend and stoop to grasp
objects, climb ladders, lift loads, up to 50 lbs. unassisted, push
and pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs. unassisted--- Experience in
a kitchen setting strongly required--- Strong communication,
leadership, and interpersonal skills--- Ability to interact with
all levels of personnel--- Ability to multi-task--- Ability to
interact with diverse personalities--- High School Diploma or
equivalent; degree in Culinary Arts preferred but not mandatory---
