What will you do...

As a Hotel Director of Sales based in Arlington, you will lead and conduct sales activities related to selling guest rooms and meeting facilities to build hotel occupancy and revenue. Responsible for achieving personal and hotel revenue goals and for management and results of the Onsite Sales Coordinator(s).

An average of 70% of time is devoted to client-facing sales activities; 30% of time is spent in leadership activities.

-Sell Drury Hotels by identifying, initiating, & securing customer relationships for business-to-business opportunities.
- Demonstrate initiative and creativity in finding new business and new contacts for new and existing accounts resulting in increased revenue.
-Maintain a thorough understanding of all aspects of a group RFPs or account travel program needs.
-Directly supervises onsite sales coordinator, sales administrative assistant, & Sales Managers. In addition to training and development, this requires recruiting, hiring, coaching, and counseling in accordance with Drury standards.
-Collaborates with other members of the sales team, GM, & other corporate stakeholders.
-Customer-facing appointments, timely follow-up to customers, delivering group proposals, saturating assigned accounts, documenting sales activity within appropriate CRM being prepared for internal meetings, etc.
-Participates and supports the revenue budgeting process.

What we expect of you...

Requires strong knowledge of sales techniques and professional business practices. Requires ability to communicate clearly in English, both orally and in writing. Requires proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office. Requires effective time management and organizational skills.

Requires ability to operate an automobile in the daily routine of making sales calls.
