Thursday, March 26, 2026: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Job Summary: The
QA/Expeditor is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate
flow of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area. This role
involves verbally communicating orders to the appropriate line
sections, monitoring the Kitchen Display System (KDS), organizing
items into orders, and ensuring proper plate presentation and
temperature. The QA/Expeditor acts as a liaison between cooks and
servers, maintaining all company policies, health, safety, and
sanitation standards. The focus is on exceeding guests'
expectations through quality and timely food delivery. Key
Responsibilities: Order Management: Verbally communicate orders to
the appropriate line section as they are received from the POS or
monitor the orders via the Kitchen Display System (KDS). Control
the flow of food from each line and organize items into orders on
trays. Plate Presentation: Garnish all items and ensure proper
plate presentation and temperature before orders leave the kitchen.
Check and correct plate presentations and temperatures as needed.
Liaison Duties: Act as a liaison between cooks and servers,
ensuring clear communication and smooth operation. Expeditor Area
Maintenance: Set up and break down the expeditor area at the
beginning and end of each shift. Clean and maintain the expeditor
work area throughout the shift. Order Processing: Mentally process
no fewer than 1.2 orders per minute, breaking down orders into the
appropriate line section and then reorganizing like-line items into
groups for ordering. Monitoring: Monitor each cook’s progress on
orders and regulate the runner system to maintain a consistent flow
of food items ordered and delivered. To-Go Orders: Assemble to-go
orders, ensuring all items are correctly included and presented.
Compliance: Follow all company policies, health, safety, and
sanitation standards. Maintain product standards, including recipes
and procedures, as well as proper portion and yield controls.
Personal Appearance: The QA/Expeditor position requires a
professional appearance at all times. This includes wearing clean
and pressed uniforms, maintaining personal hygiene, and adhering to
all restaurant-specific appearance guidelines. Qualifications
Experience and Requirements: Strong organizational and multitasking
skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a
fast-paced environment. Ability to manage time effectively and
ensure orders are processed efficiently. Knowledge of food safety
and sanitation standards. Previous experience in a similar role is
preferred. Physical and Hour Requirements: Ability to stand and
walk 100% of the time during the scheduled shift. Ability to lift
up to 30 pounds. Ability to be productive all hours of the
scheduled shift and work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful
environment. Ability to bend, stoop, and twist frequently during
the shift. Ability to work in hot, close quarters for extended
