Our Women's Services departments are growing by leaps and bounds
and we need your help.
We're looking for experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurses to
join our dynamic group of individuals that float to at least 3
Texas Health Resources hospitals. Join our team and you will play a
unique and important role centered in closing the gaps and stepping
in when most needed- while providing excellent care to the people
in the community in which you serve.
Position Highlights
* Work location: The address is based out of 612 E. Lamar,
Arlington, TX 76011 and will float to a minimum of 3 hospitals.
* Work environment: Must have flexibility to float throughout the
Metroplex to a minimum of three (3) or more Texas Health Resources
hospitals.
* Ability to triage, labor, deliver, circulate, and recover
patients in both LDR and LDRP settings. Assist with initial
breastfeeding education.
* Work hours: Part-time (24 hours weekly) working 12-hour shifts,
Variable shifts, Nights
* Weekday, Weekend and Holiday (1 winter holiday per year
required)
* Self-scheduling

Qualifications
* Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred
* Three (3) Years' RN Experience with one year in the last three
years as a clinical nurse in specialty area of position (Labor &
Delivery RN experience) Required
* CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign
education equivalency (required)
* Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas
Board of Nursing upon hire
* BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support certification through the
American Heart Association required upon hire
* NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program required upon hire
* ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required upon
hire
* AWHONN - Advanced Fetal Monitoring (EFM) OR IFM - Intermediate
Fetal Monitoring required upon hire
In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN
will:
* Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive
interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced
environment.
* maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward
patients
* possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of
professionalism
* have basic computer skills using Medical management application
systems
Position Responsibilities
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
* assesses the patient
* plans the care of the patient
* intervenes as appropriate
* evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
* Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into
patient care.
* Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need
for information
* Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital,
and while expediting out of hospital transfers
