Job Summary
Works with internal and external customers throughout the
university to enhance the value and usability of the data warehouse
and reporting environments. Responsible for developing and
supporting all aspects of UTA's data warehouse environments and
reporting applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain and support integration between source data systems and
data warehouse using department standards in order to service the
reporting community.
Work under the supervision of senior team members to develop and
implement technical solutions to meet the reporting requirements of
the business.
Document changes to ETL processes.
Provide production support to resolve any issues within the scope
of the data warehouse and reporting tool set.
All Information Technology staff - regardless of their unique

data.
They are also expected to approach their position with a priority
regard to delivering excellent customer service, and constructive
and effective collaboration with colleagues, as well as an
understanding of the 24/7 support nature of IT and the
responsibilities that creates for them as individuals.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science,
Finance, or Accounting, or four (4) years of equivalent work
experience.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
Coursework in analytics, RDBMS , and/or ETL /data integrations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using data warehousing toolsets including Oracle ( ODI ,
OBIEE , and OAC ) or Microsoft (Power BI, SSIS and SSRS ).
Experience in data visualization and enterprise reporting tools,
such as R, BI Publisher, PS Query, Tableau or SAS .
Experience with PeopleSoft HCM , Finance, and Campus Solutions.
Minimum of one (1) year experience in the following:
Experience with ETL and Data Integration concepts.
Experience with writing SQL to query RDBMS systems using various
client tools.
Working with ETL and data integration tools supporting a large data
warehouse environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Understanding of all phases of the application development
lifecycle and project management disciplines.
Ability to work on multiple projects with competing deadlines while
paying strong attention to detail.
Excellent organization, teamwork, problem-solving, and
communication (verbal and written) skills.
Precise accuracy in all phases of work.
Ability to work well with people in all levels of the
organization.
Ability to work well under the direction of senior developers and
contribute to the success of the team.
