Horton, Inc.*is currently looking for an*_Corporate Counsel_*. The right candidate will review and negotiate complex commercial transactions and agreements, including licensing and information technology agreements. Plan and implement privacy practices and procedures. Provide legal guidance and support concerning e-commerce, home sale transactions, marketing, financial services, information technology and other issues that arise on a daily basis. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities*include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Review and negotiate license and software as a service agreement, software implementation and development agreements, and non-disclosure agreements * Review e-commerce, customer relationship management (CRM) and digital marketing practices and programs for privacy and other compliance issues; draft documentation as necessary * Analyze federal and state privacy statutes and regulations to revise and implement the companys privacy practices and procedures on an ongoing basis * Interact daily with personnel across the company, including compliance, financial services, marketing, and information technology, regarding a broad array of compliance issues including those typically encountered in the home building industry and the mortgage and title businesses * Manage and prioritize multiple projects; analyze business and legal risks presented by these projects, coordinate with appropriate stakeholders; and bring these projects to a successful conclusion without significant supervision * Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company * Maintain continuing education and training requirements * Ability to travel overnight *Supervisory Responsibilities* * May have supervisory resonsibilities *Education and/or Experience* * Jurist Doctoral degree (J.D.) is required * 3 years of experience is required * Current license to practice law * Possess exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills * Proficient at working in a fast-paced, high activity environment * Ability to work well within a team * Ability to communicate and build relationships via teams and other remote style communications * Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications * Proficiency with MS Office and email *Preferred Qualifications* * Experience in a leading law firm is preferred * Corporate transaction experience is preferred * Information technology experience is preferred * Financial services experience is preferred * Privacy experience is preferred Come join a winning team with a Fortune 500 company!
