Job Description:
Description The Distribution Center Manager is responsible for
the proper warehousing and inventory control of finished goods,
ensures the maximum utilization of warehouse facilities, and
coordinates with the purchasing, manufacturing and logistics
departments to ensure proper receiving, transfer and dispatch of
finished goods. • Performing and controlling all aspects of the
distribution center operation • Emphasizes quality over quantity
when coaching associates by utilizing quality control checks •
Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Product Quality protocols •
Enables a culture of safety by ensuring all safety protocols are
followed within the distribution center to prevent possible
incidents or accidents • Develops and effectively implements
warehouse and inventory monitoring systems and procedures •
Develops and implements business process initiatives to optimize
departmental operations in accordance with overall business
objectives • Provides clear directions and general guidance to the
department in the formulation of basic policies and procedures and
ensure that these are translated to action • Maintain all warehouse
equipment in safe and working condition • Approve and review all
invoices to ensure proper billing for services received or
materials purchased, review and dispute when necessary, any
unforeseen charges • Maintain security and integrity of the entire
facility and all inventory • Process departmental associates’
payroll • Conduct annual reviews for all associates • Comply with
laws, regulations and OSHA requirements • Ensure staff has
up-to-date training, certifications and evaluations • Maintains
warehouse operational results by coaching and counseling front line
supervisors • Monitoring and appraising overall performance; ensure
that the coaching and counseling sessions of all employees is
documented • Support the maintenance of the SQF system related to
the Distribution Center, GMP’s implementation, Food safety and
quality regulations and FSMA compliance • Working proactively with
various departments to realize efficiencies and manage expectations
• All other duties as assigned on a daily basis by management
Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of
education, training, and experience • 2 years of supervisory or
warehouse lead experience desired • Warehouse experience •
Inventory management experience • Able to lead others through
change • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously • Skilled in
organization and prioritization • Food safety and Quality oriented
• Able to coach, develop, engage and retain a team of associates •
Bi-lingual English and Spanish • WMS experience preferred but not
required • Oracle experience preferred but not required • Knowledge
of computer based applications • Knowledge in Microsoft Outlook -
Intermediate • Able to travel when needed up to 10% inside and
