Job ID: 548589BR Date posted: Jan. 25, 2021 Locations: Arlington, Texas Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a position in Arlington, TX to support the Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Program Production Engineering team. IAMD is a collection of programs with a similar mission, to defend against airborne threats. Each program accomplishes this mission in different ways against different specific threats. IAMD includes established production and sustainment programs as well as emerging development programs proving out new technologies. All positions require frequent communication and collaboration with people located across the United States including other Manufacturing Engineers as well as other functions including Design Engineering, Quality Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Finance, Production Planning and Control, Contracts and Program Management to name a few. It can also involve working directly with our government customers, Design for Manufacture input, transition new or revised designs from development to production, proposal estimating, leading manufacturing process validation activities, driving cost reduction initiatives, identifying risks to production and implementing mitigation plans, Lockheed Martin and supplier factory manufacturing support, earned value management and any other program related manufacturing or tooling issues that may arise. For this specific opening we are looking for someone with intimate knowledge of J-STD-001 and preferably experience manufacturing to Class 3. Processes like SMT pick and place, convection reflow, vapor phase reflow, wave solder, selective solder, conformal coatings, automated optical inspection (AOI), automated x-ray inspection (AXI), various cleaning processes and cleanliness testing for example. Evaluating designs for producibility and helping suppliers resolve technical manufacturing issues related to electrical and electronic assemblies is required.
