Med Surg/ER Director

Director at 16 bed rural hospital. Must have BSN, current BCLS/CPR, ACLS and basic computer knowledge. Will demonstrate the ability to stay current with new technologies, equipment and changes in nursing practice through professional journals, seminars, professional societies and education. Reports directly to Chief Nursing Officer and is responsible for the management and direction of patient care in the entire med surg and emergency room setting. Must consult with staff and physicians to ensure excellent care. Must maintain performance improvement activities, participate in Quality Assessment Process, maintain compliance with accrediting standards, assist in formulating budget, and must be able to oversee staff orientation and in-service for both departments. ER Nurse RN Full Time Nights

Provides direct and indirect patient care in the ER setting. Provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility and responsibility indicative of professional expectation with a minimum of supervision. Is able to triage safely, rapidly and on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision. Performs all job functions in accordance with Glen Rose Medical Centers Policies and Procedures and Vision/Mission Statement. The Registered Nurse reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer.

One year experience preferred.

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing with up to six (6) months Registered Nurse Experience preferred.
  • Licensure in the State of Texas as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).

Full Time Night shift Respiratory Therapist CRT/RT,

One year of experience preferred. CPR/ACLS certification required and PALS certification recommended. License Texas Medical Board required. Must be able to hear and distinguish breathing sounds through stethoscope. Must be knowledgeable of equipment used in pertinent clinical area. Therapist covers all areas of the hospital.

CREDENTIALING COORDINATOR/HIM CLERK

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Summary of Responsibilities:

This is a full-time position that will work closely with the Health Information Management Director. A high level of professionalism and ability to communicate with management, staff, providers and their office credentialing staff is required.

Credentialing Coordinator

Responsible for the medical provider credentialing process of the hospital which includes but not limited to:

  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date provider database
  • Initiate and facilitate new and recurring privileges in conjunction with providers, the HIM Director and the Medical Executive Committee
  • Respond to Hospital Affiliation requests
  • Submit, process and Maintain Focused and Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluations of

HIM Clerk

  • Review documentation of IP, OBS and Surgery charts within an electronic medical record system for completeness and accuracy. Including Patient Discharge Disposition.
  • Coordinate and maintain Monthly ER physician schedule plus daily ER Reports.
  • Assist with greeting customers at the window and answering phones for the Department.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Work on-site at the hospital, 8 am to 5 pm, M-F.
  • Ability to communicate.
  • Sitting 80%, walking/standing 20%.
  • Some light lifting files, boxes.
  • Must be able to work at a computer station daily.

III Education/Licensure/Training:

  • High School Graduate/GED Diploma and some college required.

  • Proficiency with computers, advanced experience in Excel and Word required.
  • Experience working in an EMR/EHR preferred.

Collections Account Representative

Full time Monday Friday 8:30AM-5:30PM

Job Summary

Glen Rose Medical Center of Glen Rose, TX is currently seeking a FT Collections Account Representative. The ideal candidate will be responsible for making and receiving telephone calls to resolve account balances. Including contacting the insurance company for follow up collection, third party vendor, contacting the guarantor for more information, claim stat using, accurate data entry. The ideal candidate will evaluate and resolve payment and contractual discrepancies. Initiates appeals and refunds necessary. Reports compliance concerns related to billing and collections process. This position requires handling of accounts in a professional manner.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Previous exp in a hospital bus office working with insurance companies
  • Working knowledge of EOBs, CPT/HCPC and ICD-10 codes, UB04
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Good PC skills, problem solving, organizational and verbal communication skills
  • Claims processing and follow-up including experience with Commercial, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Tricare, and Managed Care knowledge
  • Researches and resolves claim delay issues
  • Provides documentation to expedite payment
  • Uses collections techniques to keep accounts current including monitoring
  • Works from ATB and/or collection file track
  • Works accounts not paid in 31 days or over
  • Performs insurance collections, such as follow-up on unpaid accounts receivable through telephone contact or by means of online tools
  • Maintains appropriate records, files and documentation

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent skills
  • Understanding of health care business service functions including billing, collections, insurance, and appeals
  • Medical collection experience preferred, strong medical claims experience and understanding of healthcare reimbursement preferred

CST Monday Friday

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is a member of the surgical team who works with surgeons, anesthesiologists and certified registered nurse anesthetists, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel in delivering patient care and assuming appropriate responsibilities before, during, and after surgery. The CST acting as a scrub person handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. Must have an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipate the needs of the surgeon and maintain a sterile field. Good general health with ability to work in a high stress environment. Must have full mobility with the ability to stand in one place for long periods of time. The employee must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Must be a graduate from a surgical technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) or another avenue of entry otherwise acceptable to the Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technologist.
  • Initial certification is bases upon satisfactory performance on the national certifying examination.
  • CSTs maintain their certification by accruing appropriate contact hours of approved continuing education, as required by their governing body.
  • Must be currently certified in basic CPR & re-certified every two years.

Job Description:

Responsible for workflow in a specific area of patient registration. Responsibilities include

deductibles. Scan in all documents. Review admission packet with patients and collect consent

Medical Assistant/Physician Clinic

The Office Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting the physician in the care of patients. In collaboration with Administration plans, supervises all technical and business operations of the office to include ordering supplies, facilitating written communication with patients and physicians, calls to pharmacies, schedule patients, etc.. Maintains Office in accordance with the standards established by the Hospital, Federal, State, Joint Commission and local standards. Maintains appropriate paperwork for Official records. Physical Requirements:

Good general health and stress coping ability. Full mobility and ability to participate in vigorous activity. Ability to speak and hear to allow discussions with patients and peers as well as make accurate physical assessments. Possesses visual acuity for accurate reading of equipment and recording on patient charts. Must be physically able to assist patients of all sizes according to proper procedure.

Educational/Licensure/Training:

Minimum one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a similar office setting is preferred. Medical Assistant Training through an educational program may be substituted. LVN with experience preferred. CPR certification required. Must be knowledgeable of equipment used in pertinent clinical areas

PRN Patient Registration Representative

Department: Business Office

Will cover any shift when needed, unless have asked off for that day or any

Job Details: Registering all patients and collecting co-pay/deductible portions of patients insurance or Self pay patient presenting for services in the area you are covering in according to policies and procedures established by the Glen Rose Medical Center. We need help transporting patients to and from the SeniorCare Program for their mental health treatment. Drivers must be able to lift heavy items like wheelchairs and help patients in and out of the van and into the building. We are looking for individuals with excellent driving records and excellent customer service skills. This is often a split shift and perfect for a retired individual who wants just a few hours here or there.

PRN Medical Assistant for the Behavioral Health Program at Glen Rose Medical Center

We have openings for PRN Medical Assistants for the SeniorCare mental health program. We need individuals who can fill in when our census increases or to cover staff time off. This may include anything from a split shift driving patients to and from the program in the program van, to a longer work day assisting with registration, helping with nursing duties and assisting patients. We have openings for PRN Therapists to help cover staff vacations or increased patient census in the SeniorCare Intensive Outpatient Program. Therapists facilitate group therapy sessions and interact therapeutically with patients with severe mental health issues. This position is perfect for someone who is retired or semi-retired, only needing a few hours here or there. Requirements include LMSW, LCSW or LPC with 3 years related experience.
