Unit Description:

Sodexo is seeking a Retail Manager 2 for Texas Christian University located in Fort Worth, TX.  This manager will be responsible for food quality and safety and sanitation program for the King Family Commons Building.  The King Family Commons building is located within the Texas Christian University campus. It houses 4 dining locations which include a burger concept, allergen free restaurant, grab and go, and Starbucks branded coffee. Looking for a manager with strong knowledge of culinary production, menu planning and food control/inventory.  Successful candidate must have experience with engaging the staff to create an environment of service pride to our students here in the King Family Commons Building.  Our Retail Manger will need to have flexible schedule and ability to work on the weekends and nights.


Key responsibilities of managers include:

-Menu Development

-Staff Training and mentoring

-Inventory, Ordering, Labor, Scheduling, and cost control

-Daily Huddles, key HAACP protocol, and consistent one on one training with staff of 70+


King Family Commons manages the campus Allergy Free Dining Facility as well as on site food trucks.

Are you the experienced Retail Food Service Manager we’re seeking? 

We are looking for candidates who will manage:

  • frontline staff;
  • cash handing process;
  • department HACCP and safety programs for regulatory compliance;
  • frontline training programs;
  • opening and closing the operation; and
  • daily operation standards. 

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proven client relationship skills
  • Successful customer service skills 
Position Summary:

Responsible for food quality & customer service in an operation that may have branded concepts or other retail offerings. Directs the work of hourly & supervisory food service workers.
Key Duties
- Ensures there is a zero harm mindset for ourselves, our customers, our food & employees.
- Directs daily operations of food quality & customer service in a retail food operation that may include branded concepts ensuring that employees have appropriate equipment, supplies and resources.
- Manages cash handling protocols & control procedures according to Sodexo policies.
- Maintains client satisfaction for food quality & customer service.
- Accountable for the execution of service quality by maintaining the highest level of delivery.
- Supervises day-to-day work activities of food service workers. 



Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
