Job Description:

We are looking for a committed, deadline-driven Development Intern to join our non-profit fundraising team. The Development Intern will complete all tasks assigned by their direct report, which may include conducting market research, identifying business opportunities, managing e-mail letter campaigns, generating sales leads, participating in meetings, preparing for events, and assisting the Development department wherever possible.This position will have a unique opportunity to source the capital campaign of a national institution. Though not required, vested interest / knowledge in the military world relating to the Medal of Honor is beneficial. If no current knowledge exists, we are seeking a go-getter who is eager to learn and grow!Beyond assisting the team in coordinating and executing research, campaigns, and business leads, the Development Interns day-to-day will be heavily influenced by ongoing events and outreach, often playing a support role to help fulfill activations. This position will contribute to the overall success of the National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation and will have various opportunities to work with other departments, founders, corporate partners, brand ambassadors, and some of our nations living Medal of Honor recipients.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:* Work to support all aspects of the fundraising efforts of the National Medal of Honor Museum Development team* Generate prospective donor research to capture pertinent information, profiles, and giving history* Source new business opportunities with a primary focus on various levels of donors* Produce accurate updates on sales pipelines, prospecting activity, sales performance, outside appointments, and event recaps* Develop sales and services best practices based on leading industry standards* Define, track, analyze, and report on metrics and analytics to consistently understand the health of the programs* Attain weekly, monthly, and long-term sales revenue goals and participate in sales events* Assist in coordination and execution of fundraising events and receptions* Maintain accurate and up-to-date information for CRM* Assist in day-to-day functions which include but are not limited to organizing collateral, fulfilling merchandise orders, create and mail partner and ambassador care packages, engage in partner meetings, etc.QUALIFICATIONS:* Marketing, Business, Finance, or similarly related major* Clear, professional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills* Must be proficient in EXCEL, Word, Outlook* Must be comfortable with Excel spreadsheets, tracking, and analysis* Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills* Ability to handle confidential information* Ability to plan, manage time, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment* Accuracy and attention to detail and deadlines* Ability to effectively receive and communicate feedback* A positive, enthusiastic attitude and ability to remain composed under pressurePlease apply through LinkedIn or send your resume directly to our Director of Major Gifts, Kyle Robbins, at
