DescriptionSourceAmerica is searching for a senior-level pricing expert with experience with federal contracts. SourceAmerica supports a network of over 600 nonprofit agencies (NPAs) across the United States. These NPAs perform service and product contracts mainly for Federal agencies and help employ over 40,000 people with disabilities nationally. This position is a senior pricing expert supporting AbilityOne Program contracts with federal agencies. Federal contracting or federal procurement experience is required for this position.
As a senior pricing expert, your work functions will include but are not limited to the following. A full position description will be provided during the interview process:

  • Provide account management of AbilityOne program-related federal contracts. This is the program authorized by the Javits-Wagner-O'Day Act to increase employment and training opportunities for persons who are blind or have other severe disabilities through federal government purchasing of commodities and services from nonprofit agencies employing these persons. Our customers are primarily federal government agencies like Department of Defense, GSA, and Civilian Agencies.
  • You will be monitoring the market for price fluctuations, and ensuring employees follow the established pricing policies.
  • You will review pricing projects using cost estimators, market data, and other pricing indicators (there are four types of indicators such as input, output, outcome, and impact).
  • You will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and coordinating the pricing data for Fair Market Pricing actions in support of all internal and external stakeholders for a variety of business lines including Custodial, Food Service, Grounds Maintenance, and others.
  • Oversee all assigned customer account activities and travel to Nonprofit Agencies (NPAs) to perform contract analysis as needed.
  • Strengthen customer relationships to preserve and expand existing contracts.
  • Participate in and support negotiations.
  • Provide support regarding AbilityOne Program, pricing, FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations), and relationship management.
  • Provide support to NPAs regarding the development of price proposals.
  • Other responsibilities will be assigned based on business need.

    Salary Range
    The salary for this position falls in a range between $90,000 - $105,000 depending on your experience and geographic location in the United States.
    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited institution.
    • relevant work experience with federal contracting, federal billing, federal procurement process, federal supply schedule, fair market pricing, customer support, account management or similar.
    • Working knowledge of Federal acquisition process and procedures to include the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Code of Federal Regulations (CFAR), JWOD Act, and AbilityOne policies and procedures.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • 10+ years relevant work experience with fair market pricing procedures, federal contracting, federal billing, federal procurement process, federal supply schedule, customer support, account management or similar.
      • Knowledge of SourceAmerica and the AbilityOne Program
      • Proven abilities in networking, negotiation, decision making, and problem solving.
      • Experience evaluating capabilities and capacities.
      • Experience with federal agencies or contractors in the federal marketplace
      • Excellent customer service skills
      • Strong ability to relate strategy to operational plans.
      • Able to work with minimal oversight and supervision while getting results and managing book of business.
      • Demonstrated ability to understand and develop business and operational processes.
      • Skilled in cost analysis and contemporary business practices
      • We use Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) as our primary business application system for much of our office processes- experience with D365 or using similar methods is preferred.

        Work Environment
        Our organization offers both a hybrid work model-where employees work in our office two to three days per week and work from home the balance of the workweek-as well as a fully remote work model, depending on the job requirements and one's proximity to one of our offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, or the Washington, DC-area.
