Job Description:
A company is looking for a UM Appeals Follow Up Support
Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
Obtain service authorization and monitor authorization compliance
for Medicare and Non-Medicare funded services
Assist with the appeals process by performing research and
responding to clinical information requests
Prepare appeal summaries, correspondence, and document information
for tracking and trending data
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or GED
Preferred 1 year of post High School business or college
coursework
Minimum of two years of medical insurance, medical records, or
medical office experience
Preferred experience with Medicare, State, Hospice, HMO, PPO, and
traditional insurance regulations
Preferred experience with EPIC or electronic medical records
