We work hard, and have a great time doing it!RoleFoodMaven is seeking to hire a detail-oriented, physically-fit, and entrepreneurially-spirited full-time warehouse distribution team member who is interested in getting in on the ground level of a hot startup with a big mission. The 3rd Shift Warehouse Lead will work as part of the Operations Team to perform an array of functions that include overseeing product movement for deliveries and transfers, picking and filling orders from inventory, assisting in ensuring accurate inventory through regular cycle counts, and overseeing the distribution of product to our local donation partners. The Warehouse Lead will be a face of FoodMaven: respectful to coworkers and customers, focused, organized, driven, physically able to move large loads, able to follow direction, detail-oriented, and adaptable. S/he will be highly skilled at inventory documentation, team communication, and customer relations. Above all, the Warehouse Lead will be expected to jump in and help where and when required, be passionate about learning, and steward the success of the organization.Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately identify food types, characteristics, and food identity numbers (SKUs, PLUs, etc.) when assessing and sorting product for outbound tasks. This includes picking and staging for deliveries and transfers.
• Identify and hand select product from various holding environments, including dry, cooler and freezer
• Handle product in a manner consistent with food safety practices
• Stage pallets for loading within holding units as well as on proper dock locations
• Assess product quality based on FoodMaven quality rating systems to accurately and consistently rate all handled food product.
• Ability to lift/handle product that weighs up to 75lbs.
• Maintain accurate inventory. This will be done by ensuring our processes are correctly followed within our existing technological warehouse management systems, ensuring product in/product out is received/distributed accurately, and conducting regular cycle counts.
• Collect appropriate data for all merchandise and procedural steps outlined in work manuals and food-handling protocols. Integrate documentation into manuals on a regular basis.
• Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including but not limited to pallet jacks, order pickers, reach trucks and personal protective equipment.
• Perform safety check before using any equipment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
  • Experienced warehouse lead
  • Confident and proficient in the use of an ERP and/or WMS
  • Proficiency in general warehouse practices and methods
  • Experience with inventory management, product packaging, and logistics
  • Alignment with core Mission, Values and Culture of FoodMaven
  • Ability to execute with limited direction from management
  • Ability to lead other members of team
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Driver's License in good standing
  • Ability to work night shift (9:30pm to 6:00am) Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in the food industry
    • Start-up experience
