Job Description:

Multi-Family Electrical Estimator.
Now accepting resumes for Electrical Estimator/Project Manager for Multi-Family & Commercial construction within the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare cost estimates based on full takeoff of all required materials and labor. Using estimating software (Conest).
Request quotations from suppliers to gather material and equipment costs.
Willingness and desire to actively participate in Value Engineering sessions with the project team and design team.
Prepare detailed estimate updates, as the design evolves, including preparing variance summaries between estimates.
Identify qualified and insured subcontractors where appropriate and solicit quotes as needed.
Review quotes obtained from subcontractors for accurate scope of work as per plans and specs.
Timely complete and submit all client required documents, including bid documents, scope letters including a clearly defined scope of work as well as qualifications and exclusions.
Obtain submittals from vendors used in successful bids and submit timely to the customer, as required.
Obtain O&M's, Closeout docs., & Warranty letters when required.
Manage the jobs from mobilization to project completion. This includes communicating with superintendent, attending job site meetings when needed.
Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including information on pricing from suppliers obtained through direct contact, price lists, software uploads, etc.
May review design options and recommend the best solution based on cost, engineering quality, and/or availability of materials
Works closely with Superintendents regarding schedule and special construction considerations.
Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective processes, completion of projects and smooth operation of department.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED
College degree or Active Texas Electrical License (Master's or Journeyman) preferred.
3+ years of experience as a Multi-Family and/or Commercial Construction Estimator.
4+ years of Commercial Electrical installation a plus, preferably in the multi-Family area.
Minimum 3 years of experience in the multi-Family or commercial.
Minimum 4 years of field or electrical estimating experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience operating Conest.
Qualification, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Working knowledge of electrical installation, estimating techniques, and cost control.
Previous management or supervisory experience
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent organization skills.
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Flexible and adaptable; ability to work in a team environment and initiative to work alone.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
Ability to work flexible hours, if needed.
Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
Ability to interpret blueprints.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to interpret computerized cost data and systems
Ability to perform detailed work and successfully meet deadlines
Must have knowledge and understanding of unit costs & the factors that affect construction cost.
Knowledge of estimating software (Conest).
Proficient in Windows, Excel, Word, & Outlook.
Procore & BlueBeam.
All other duties as required for estimating projects.
Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Continuing Education Program

$55,000-$75,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
