Job Description Position and Payrate: Assembly Department: -- 2nd shift: $14.00 per hour Forklift Operator: -- 1st shift: $16.00 per hour Assembly Department: Job Description: -- Set up workstation and ensure all production materials are available -- Rotate through multiple stations on a shift to ensure maximum alertness and preparation -- Visually inspect production run and document results -- Verify the parts required before assembly -- Double-check connections to ensure they match and record any discrepancies in the assembly log -- Inform supervisors of any part or equipment defects to ensure a prompt response to the problem -- Familiarize yourself with the tools, instrumentation, and calibration equipment -- Operate and monitor equipment -- Communicate with other stations on the assembly line to ensure maximum speed and accuracy -- Conserve resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste -- Assemble components accurately, thoroughly, and quickly to approved specifications Job Requirements: -- Stand-up job -- At-least 18 years or older -- Can lift 50lbs from floor to waist -- Have basic math skills -- Can read and write in English -- Can stand and walk for extended periods of time -- Can climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods of time -- Can repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products -- Allowed to have personal phones with them, but may only use if necessary -- Allowed to have only one air pod in one ear while working -- Dress code: t-shirt and pants (no skirt, leggings, sandals, or slides due to safety reasons) Assembly Workers/Forklift Operator: Job Description: -- Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a sit-down forklift -- Pull, pack, or stage orders for shipment using computer-generated work invoices or verbal instruction from supervisor -- Package material for shipment according to shipping requirements and customer specified instruction. Ensure that all product/shipping labels are noticeable and legible. -- Put away the product that has been received in the proper location -- Assist customers who arrive at the dock to pick up or return merchandise -- Accurately and legibly complete and maintain all forms and records -- Set up workstation and ensure all production materials are available -- Rotate through multiple stations on a shift to ensure maximum alertness and preparation -- Visually inspect production run and document results. Verify the parts required prior to assembly. -- Double-check connections to ensure they match and record any discrepancies in assembly log -- Inform supervisors of any part or equipment defects to ensure a prompt response to the problem -- Familiarize yourself with the tools, instrumentation, and calibration equipment -- Operate and monitor equipment -- Communicate with other stations on the assembly line to ensure maximum speed and accuracy -- Conserve resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste -- Assemble components accurately, thoroughly, and quickly to approved specifications -- Replenish materials as needed -- Determine and report malfunctions to supervisor -- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned area -- Other duties as assigned -- Must be able to understand and follow instructions to perform repeated tasks successfully and with minimal supervision Job Requirements: -- Must be able to pass a drug test and background check -- Able to lift and move up to 45lbs -- Stand for several hours per shift with frequent bending, twisting, reaching, stooping -- Ability to walk, sit, and use hand grip -- Regular vision requirements include the ability for close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and adjusting focus -- Must have experience with forklift -- Must schedule an interview for forklift driver testing before taking someone there to start -- High school diploma or GED -- One year of experience operating MHE and sit down forklift driving -- 2 years working in a warehouse environment. Manufacturing warehouse preferred. -- One year experience in general assembly work or manufacturing experience -- Basic math and communication skills required -- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail required -- Excellent organizational, time management, and customer relations skills are required -- Experience with power and hand tools is a plus -- Injection molding experience or machine operator experience is a plus
