Work you'll do

As a GTM and pursuit Writer, you'll use your writing skills and experience to:

• Support priority bid opportunities for new business pursuits at Deloitte Consulting
• Write executive summaries and pursuit materials that articulate our strategic messaging in a compelling and persuasive manner
• Capture, shape, and synthesize information to reflect a cohesive message, written in one voice
• Translate technical information and business jargon into clear, consistent, and grammatically correct content
• Demonstrate a finely-tuned ability to sift through a discussion, extracting the most significant information and action items
• Engage with pursuit teams strategically, posing questions that encourage a team to consider all aspects of the client's position, and draw out essential messaging
• Collaborate with graphic designers, project managers, pursuit coaches, and client service teams to build creative and innovative material
• Prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  The Team
  
  The U.S. Consulting Sales Excellence (SE) practice serves the Industries, Offering Portfolios, Hybrid Business, and account teams in driving sales success. SE owns the sales life cycle from identification and prioritization of the opportunity all the way through to closing the deal. The Sales Excellence organization comprises several workstreams including the Sales Executive organization, the Pursuit Center of Excellence (PCOE), Proposal Studio, Pricing & Commercial Deal Support (PCDS), Competitive Intelligence, and the Science of Winning.
  
  The team member will be aligned to the Consulting Professional National Office, comprised of professionals with various areas of focus that collectively provide mission critical services to support Consulting's overall success. Whether focused on project financials, quality and risk management, methods and tools, sales excellence, talent, leadership support, or other activities, these professionals ensure that our Firm operates efficiently and that our people can effectively serve clients every day. Our new Operating Model formalizes these functions so that we can continue to enhance their quality while providing our professionals a consistent talent experience and opportunities for growth.
  
  Qualifications
  
  • Undergraduate degree in English, journalism, communications, humanities, liberal arts, or related disciplines
  • 8+ years of prior relevant experience
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • A quasi-journalistic ability to quickly grasp specialist knowledge and make it clear for external parties
  • Strong executive presence
  • Agility and speed in executing strong writing
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to "get smart quick" on a wide variety of topics
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask within a fast-paced, challenging, and deadline-driven environment
  • Exceptional project management skills
    Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
